Accepted

A weird bunch of things has happened in the creativity department. After the spike from Apple Books the other week, I've had my magazine article accepted by Oddball, my Literotica chapter was accepted and has received good responses, and I've been told that while Writing WA doesn't have any current positions that my details will be kept on file for future reference. I may never hear from them again, or in the near future, which is when I'd like to know, but there was a sense of encouragement. I found out for you to be considered an "emergent" writer with another local charity based group, you just have to retire and have a BA like mine and decide to write or get jacked up on coffee and act like you might one day write a novel. Had I known, I might have tried, but I don't know if I'd be disqualified for having a contract previously, or if I could actually work on something for them if I did apply. Creatively, I'm spent. I just don't have anything to work on of worth, which sucks, I'd kinda like them to help me with what I have already but it did make me think I didn't need to be incredibly dedicated. I get used to so many rejections that an acceptance or acknowledgment tends to make me feel better for a moment. Getting a tweet from someone with a bigger audience is a signal boost for me. I'll see if it translates into anything concrete in terms of hits. It's a coincidence really, whether I've surrendered some negative energy to be blessed or am just lucky despite myself, it doesn't matter.

The Oddball submission came of the back of another website driven by user articles didn't bother ever posting my submission or get back to me about it. Least I put it to some use.

Reading…

I decided to sit down and read actual books purely to get off social media and keep my hands full so I wasn’t passively scrolling. And I man...
