Another one gets rewarded

You just have to get attention to get a book deal. It doesn't have to be good or bad. Unless you turn out to be genuinely trash, it'll go to print and not get pulled. Publishers think with their wallets and not with taste. If you can afford agents and connections and have pull, they'll let you do a book. I know the trans handywoman struggled to get her book out there but she managed it, and she deserves to be seen. Oli London needs to be shut down yet you can find profit in his BS so you allow it to happen then Ethan from H3H3 now has to tolerate Oli plugging it on his show instead of answering a question about backing Caitlyn Jenner's organisation. I don't know why it exhausts me so heavily to see it. I don't know how well these books actually do, but I hope they tank. I hope he has to do a Girl Defined level of desperation video trying to get more people to buy it after shitty presales. I hope these books costs these publishers money.

It's funny I did bring this up because I was looking up River's Edge wanting to read the plot and I came across an article that Ione Skye is shopping around an autobiography of her personal fast times (shut up, I know she wasn't in that) which involved drug addiction and a relationship with Anthony Kiedis when she was 16. Plus she had a shoddy kind of upbringing, and she's now married to Ben Lee who's kind of a spiritualist now. It seems to be interesting enough but the fact she's not gotten a land (this is recent, mind you) tells me she really hasn't got the potential shitheads like Oli London have. He shouldn't have an agent for anything, I don't even know how he got where he was other than off bullshit attention whoring, it's not like he has real talent. Ione Skye's a great actress who couldn't even get a real break. She should've had more roles, maybe she was problematic but it seems shit Anthony Kiedis can get a book deal and include naked pictures of her, but she can't dish about her own relationship with him and have the same backing? I don't know. I can see the relative unfairness of it all it's something I have to forcibly ignore. I honestly hope London's book tanks and he can't get it off the ground at all.

Reading…

I decided to sit down and read actual books purely to get off social media and keep my hands full so I wasn’t passively scrolling. And I man...
